Last year on Father’s Day I wrote this post, Definition of a Daddy. I was thinking along the same lines this year as I thought about what to write to honor the Daddy of my kids.
So since there’s no point in rewriting what’s already been written, I’ll just share photos of those who came along that made Tommy a Daddy. I’ve captioned them for you to tell you what he was most likely thinking when each of them were born.
1991 – Tori

Tori Christine. The miracle of a first breath. New life. My firstborn. My baby girl. Perfect love bound up in this tiny little bundle. (although she wasn’t so tiny at 9lbs 4 oz.)
1993 – Jakeb

Jakeb Daniel. Wow! We made a boy!!! Someone to do all the ungirly things with. Someone I can actually relate to. This is going to be so much fun!!!!
1999 – Anna

Anna Ruth. My Ruthie. This little bundle (again not so little at 9lbs 3 oz) is a gift from God. Not an afterthought at all but prayed for and wanted. Our family is complete and perfect by God’s design.
Tommy, thank you for being a Daddy! We made three amazing and gorgeous kids together. I love you!
And this post couldn’t be complete without a picture of me and my dad. I still call him “Daddy” and I love everything that name means and I love you, Daddy!
