It’s been a wild 3.5 weeks in Texas just as expected. I’ll post more when we’re back to our life in Singapore but here are a few snippets from our trip.
In 32 days…
I’ve slept in 9 different beds.
We’ve been in 7 different cities.
We’ve driven 2600+ miles.
We’ve eaten delicious Mexican food at least 8 times, maybe more.
I’ve been to as many Targets as possible. Tommy enjoyed his trips to Academy too but my goal was to make sure Target won. And it did.
We spent time with family and friends but not near enough.
Left our son at college and will soon be leaving our daughter, yet again, at her college. It’s not real easy to leave your kids and fly thousands of miles away.
Our last day in Texas has been spent packing, hanging out at Tori’s apartment watching a movie that we had to fit in, Skyping with Jakeb, eating at Pei Wei Asian Diner with Tori and Anna, a quick trip to Bed Bath & Beyond and one more roam around Target.
Now we sit. We’re never finished with everything this early. We’re normally scrambling to get the weight evened out just right in all of our luggage, take care of last minute “to do’s”, but this time, we’re finished. It’s nice to just exist. In Texas.
We’ll be existing back in Singapore in a few days after a lengthy and very uncomfortable plane ride. 25.5 hours to be precise. Thankfully, the 10th bed I’ll sleep in in less than 1 month’s time will be MINE.
