We arrived in Pokhara, Nepal during the Festival of Colors or Holi. The street to our hotel was closed off to vehicle traffic so we took the back roads from the airport. And back roads they were. I’m not complaining. The backroads are where you can see real life happening. Not what they put on for the tourists. I like the backroads. Alot.
Everything about being in Pokhara intrigues all senses. The scenery, the textures, the activity, the people, the smiles, the smells, the shops, the tastes, and of course, the colors.
The display of colors is amazing here in Pokhara and I am soaking it all and fueling my senses before we go back to our white-walled house in our all too sterile life in Singapore.
