I thought I’d post an update on Mother’s Day and put up a few pictures. It was a fabulous day for me and polar opposite from My First Mother’s Day experience from so long ago. Well done Stunz fam!
I had several highlights of the day. One of which was talking to my daughter in the US for a while via Skype. It doesn’t replace the real deal hug but I’ll take it.
I got not one but TWO breakfasts. Anna made me a wonderful breakfast taco and a handmade flower and brought it all to me in my room on a nice tray with a fork and spoon and also chopsticks in case I wanted options. Then Jakeb comes in from Holland Village with a Ya Kun Kaya set which included my favorite coffee, soft boiled egg and kaya toast. For not being a breakfast person, I think I made out quite well!
For lunch, I chose Sushi Tei. I could eat my weight in California Rolls. I know that’s not real sushi but I’ll take it!

Then we went upstairs to a shop in Holland Village and bought a wall hanging that I’ve had my eye on for some time and after weeks of admiring them all and dreaming about which color to choose I got to say, “I’ll take it!”. Tommy and the kids, even Tori via Skype, helped pick out the color. It’s made from Indian evening wear and wedding clothing remnants. I will treasure this beautiful piece forever.
We went home from Holland Village but not before getting a Strawberry Passion Fruit Blended Ice with Pearls (tapioca balls) from Each A Cup. I love that place!!
It was a good day filled with pampering, good food, gifts, putting my feet up and pretty much summoning for whatever my heart desired.
I’m eternally humbled and grateful to be able to be a Mom to three incredible children and to raise them along side the best dad ever. I know that all Mom’s didn’t have such a great day this year. Either they are missing one of their children for one reason or another or their family didn’t pamper them quite as much as they expected and most certainly deserve. I’ve had those types of Mother’s Days too. But this one, for me, was a good one and I’ll take it!
